Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

1. Introduction

Banlys, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates banlys.com (the "Website") and is committed to handling personal information transparently and with restraint. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect when you visit the Website, how we use it, and your rights.

This policy covers banlys.com, including the Lattice product pages at banlys.com/lattice and the Tare informational pages at banlys.com/tare. Each of our standalone programs (JuJu Paranormal®, Pro-Tocast®, the Tare Program at tareprogram.com) operates on its own domain and has its own privacy policy posted on that site. See the Legal & IP Register for the full structure.

2. Information we collect

Information you choose to send us. The contact form on this Website opens your default email client with a pre-filled message addressed to admin@banlys.com. No information from the contact form is submitted to or stored on our servers — only the email you choose to send. If you do email us, we receive whatever you include: your name, email address, subject, and message.

Technical information automatically collected. Like most websites, our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically logs basic technical information when you visit, including IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, and pages visited. This information is used for security, abuse prevention, and basic uptime monitoring. We do not run third-party advertising or behavioral analytics on banlys.com.

Lattice research and pilot inquiries. The form at banlys.com/lattice/contact opens your email client with a pre-filled message to admin@banlys.com — the same mailto pattern as the main contact form. We do not store form submissions on our servers.

Lattice accounts and API (when offered). If you sign up for a Lattice dashboard account or use a hosted Lattice API, we may use Clerk (clerk.com) for authentication and collect usage metadata as described in your agreement. Until general API access is available, account signup may be disabled or limited to pilot participants. See /lattice/terms and Clerk's privacy policy.

3. How we use information

We use the information described above to:

  • respond to inquiries you send us by email;
  • evaluate licensing requests, pilot applications, and partnership inquiries;
  • operate, secure, and improve the Website and the Lattice service;
  • prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access;
  • comply with legal obligations.

4. What we do not do

We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not use your information for third-party advertising or cross-site behavioral profiling. We do not run third-party analytics scripts on this Website. We do not use cookies for tracking; cookies set by this Website are limited to those necessary to operate the Lattice dashboard authentication flow (set by Clerk).

5. Information sharing

We share information only as follows:

  • with service providers acting on our behalf under confidentiality obligations — currently Vercel (hosting), Clerk (Lattice authentication), and Resend (transactional email delivery, where used);
  • when required by law, subpoena, or legal process;
  • to protect the rights, property, or safety of Banlys, LLC, our users, or others;
  • in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, with successor entities bound to honor this policy in substance.

6. Data retention

We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, or as required by law. Email correspondence is retained as long as needed to handle the relationship it concerns. Technical server logs are retained for a short window for security and operational purposes (typically 30–90 days). Lattice account and API data is retained per the Lattice terms.

7. Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. The Website is served exclusively over HTTPS. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure; we do not represent that the Website or our services are immune from compromise.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you reside, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain uses. Texas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and several other US states, as well as the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, grant such rights to their residents.

To exercise any of these rights, email admin@banlys.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. We do not sell personal information, so no "do not sell" opt-out is necessary.

9. Tare Program pilot

If you apply for or participate in the Tare Program pilot, we collect and process additional information as follows.

Application data: organization name, department, organization type, primary contact (name, title, email, phone), website, research context, dataset description (type, scope, volume), current processing pipeline (if provided), evaluation goals, budget approval status, timeline, and statement of interest. This is used solely to evaluate your application and, if accepted, to administer the pilot.

Submitted datasets: GNSS timing or clock-comparison data provided for evaluation is processed in a controlled, offline environment. It is not used for any purpose other than the pilot, not sold, and not shared with third parties. Access is restricted to personnel necessary to perform the evaluation and return results.

Storage and retention: application data and pilot communications are retained only as long as needed to evaluate, administer the pilot, and comply with law. After the pilot ends, we retain data only as required by the pilot agreement or applicable law.

Security: we use encryption for transfer and reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect pilot data. The Tare evaluation methodology is not disclosed.

10. Lattice product

Lattice pages at banlys.com/lattice include an illustrative demo at /lattice/demo that runs in your browser and does not send your inputs to our servers. Licensed pilots and any future hosted API are governed by /lattice/terms and a separate written agreement. Pilot or API inputs, when applicable, are processed per that agreement and are not used for unrelated purposes.

11. Children's privacy

This Website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this Website, please contact us and we will delete the information.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects when the policy was last revised. Material changes will be noted. Your continued use of the Website after the effective date of any update constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

13. Contact

Questions about this Privacy Policy, or requests to exercise your rights, should be sent to admin@banlys.com.
