General conditions for licensing Lattice. Last updated: May 2026. A signed agreement is required for any production use.
These Lattice License Terms apply to the Lattice technology (the "Technology") — a confidence-gated architecture for sequential prediction — owned by Banlys, LLC. They supplement the Banlys.com Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Browsing banlys.com/lattice is governed by those site policies; using the Technology in a licensed capacity requires a separate written agreement with Banlys, LLC.
Banlys currently offers: (a) Research licenses — non-commercial use with citation of the public preprint in academic work; (b) Commercial pilot licenses — scoped evaluation on your data under a written pilot agreement; (c) Hosted API and enterprise licenses — available after pilot validation, under separate terms. No license is granted by submitting an inquiry form or using illustrative demos on this website.
Subject only to a fully executed written license or pilot agreement, Banlys, LLC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Technology and related materials solely for the purpose, territory, and term stated in that agreement.
Unless expressly permitted in your written agreement, you may not: reverse engineer or attempt to derive source code or underlying methods from the Technology; sublicense, sell, or distribute the Technology; remove proprietary notices; or use the Technology outside the agreed scope. Illustrative demos on this site do not grant any license to production use.
Research licensees must cite the Lattice preprint (arXiv) in publications that use or reference the Technology. Commercial and pilot agreements may require "Powered by Lattice" or equivalent attribution as specified in writing.
Lattice is patent-pending. All intellectual property in the Technology remains with Banlys, LLC. Your license does not transfer ownership. You may not assert patent claims against Banlys, LLC or its licensees based on permitted use of the Technology.
THE TECHNOLOGY IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WHERE LICENSED. BANLYS, LLC DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BANLYS, LLC IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM USE OF THE TECHNOLOGY. Results depend on your data and use case.
Your license ends on the date in your agreement or immediately if you breach these terms or your agreement. Upon termination, cease all use and destroy or return copies as directed.
If and when Banlys offers a hosted Lattice API, additional terms (API keys, rate limits, acceptable use) will apply and will be presented at signup or in your agreement. Until then, API-related pages or accounts may be disabled or illustrative only.
